"Hands" My First Screenplay & Early Writing Projects (Pg 3)

Why Don Quixote?  Above is a description of "Hands" for SA Monthly Magazine. Did I ever think that I would be this far in the journey of "writing?"  The answer is a resounding "maybe." When I was younger I would constantly be pulled aside by teachers for my writing. At first, it wasn't for good reasons... When I was in 2nd grade, I was told by a teacher, "You need to use periods." Up until that point, writing consisted of writing sentences with one solid period at the very end. That is, in the first grade, only one sentence was required. Now, we started on paragraphs...and building those paragraphs into one page stories.  I carried my first grade writing into 2nd. I would finish out my entire story; then signify its completion with a single period at the very end.  I understood: a period signified the end of a thought. While yes, that is what periods stand for, I would write a whole story with zero periods until the very end. Technically, I...

Meet Rupert | Page 2 | Hands Welcome my "Hopeless Romantics" to my passion project. I am writing a screenplay in hopes to turn my book project into a movie. My "disclaimer" is that if any of my writing contains characters that resemble anyone in real life, it is purely coincidental as I have always drawn from my imagination to create my fiction stories/novels. Hello & Welcome my  "Hopeless Romantics!" (Disclaimer: This blog is done in my free time in normally 20 min intervals. Since I don't dedicate much time to revision, there might be many mistakes. I will attempt to "go back and edit" for the sake of achieving a more final draft before hiring a final editor. As with other blogs I have ever worked on, if any character resembles anyone in "real life" that is a mere coincidence as all my fiction writing is strictly fictionalized and my characters are produced by my imagination. Although, I do believe that "maybe" this script will eventually, somehow, make it to the hands of several tall-blonde comedic actors...namely, Will Ferrel...and he might think "wow, this seems like a perfect part for me and the character somewhat fits my description...I would welcome you to play this part).  Without further ado,  I am happy to say, "I'm back!" Obviously, since working as an editor in r...
